Models are indicating a possible quick moving clipper system that
will slide across the area Mon afternoon into early Tues morning. With the cold air expected to be in place, if the clipper can overcome the low level dry air, some light snow or flurries may occur. No more than a dusting would be expected.
The next storm system then appears to slide out of the southwest
as the upper flow pattern becomes a bit more southwesterly. This will potentially bring another round of moderate to locally heavy rainfall to the Ozarks for the end of the work week. Current
indications are fro from 0.50 to 1.50 inches of precipitation,
which after the past day or so may lead to another potential
period of flooding.
Sunday into Monday looks to be a quiet and dry period as high
pressure remains over the region. Highs on Sunday will be in the 20’s across central
Missouri and near 40 in far southwestern Missouri.
