Tuesday-Thursday: No big changes here in the forecast trend. A
pattern change will lead to a Pacific based shortwave digging into
the southwest U.S. with a warming trend. Highs
Wed will be well up into the 60’s. The western trough will pick up a lead shortwave and move it quickly northeast through the
central Plains into the Midwest, passing through our area
Wed night. We will see rain begin to spread into the area Wednesday afternoon and shift east
of the region Thursday.
Not much in the way of instability is
expected with this system, but we will finally have some semblance of a fetch established off the western Gulf of Mexico for a good chance for showers.
Monday: In the northwest upper level flow behind Sunday’s departing shortwave, we will see a subtle/weak clipper system move
through in the afternoon/evening. Again, there won’t be much
moisture in place, but there may be enough for some sprinkles
along with cloud cover.
